SAME or Student Association of Mechanical Engineering is the student wing of Department of Mechanical Engineering,Federal Institute Of Science and Technology.The membership is voluntary for all the students who joins FISAT Mechanical Department.Also students who are enrolled for short term courses of the department and its allied research centres may get the membership upon paying the compulsory fee

• Developing the Mechanical Engineering Department into a Centre of Excellence in Technical Education with Global Standards.
• Deliver technically sound graduates for dynamic industry and associate innovation and research enthusiasm of students for the development of society locally and globally.
• Produce engineers with high moral and ethical values.

Departmental and Students Achievements for the year 2014-15

1. For the previous results for 2010 batch, we the mechanical engineering department achieved the first place in M.G University at 68.18 % pass.

2.Alfred Johnson of S8 ME, has been elected as a member in the top five category in the “Young Entrepreneur’s Summit – 2014”

3. Prasoon Sunny of S8 ME, has participated for boxing at national level representing Kerala.
>> Has won silver medal in the MG University Judo championship 2014
>> Has won gold medal at the state level boxing championship
